After John the Baptist, no other prophet came from the prophetic series. This is what Jesus Christ warned against false prophets.
John the Baptist was the last prophet. There is no other prophet after it.
“The law and the prophets were up to John. After that, the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached.” (Luke 16:16)
God has sent seventeen prophets to each period. They are Jonah, Joel, Amos, Hosea, Isaiah, Micah, Nahum, Zephaniah, Habakkuk, Jeremiah, Daniel, Obadiah, Ezekiel, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, and John the Baptist.
The period of the prophets was up to John and not later. After that the Kingdom of God is preached.
There will be no more prophet after John the Baptist. The coming of Jesus Christ paved the way for the gospel of the kingdom of God!
